HOMECUES FOR SALEBRW FOR SALEMAKING A CUEWOOD & MATERIALSCUSTOMER REMARKS
 PAGE 2
THE SNAKE WOOD ON THE LEFT IS ONE OF THE RAREST WOODS IN THE WORLD TODAY. IT GROWS IN SURANAME AND MUST BE DRIED FOR AT LEAST 6 YEARS, OR BETTER STILL, 10 YEARS.
THE WHITEBAIT KAURI WOOD IS FROM NEW ZEALAND. AND YES, IT HAS BEEN CARBON DATED TO BE AT LEAST 50,000 YEARS OLD. ANCIENT KAURI IS PROBABLY THE MOST EXPENSIVE OF ALL THE WOODS. WHEN IT IS FINISHED, THE WOOD ACTUALLY GLOWS FROM WITHIN--IRRIDESCENT-AND CHANGES COLORS WITH THE LIGHT. KAURI WOOD HAS 50 TO 60 GROWTH RINGS PER INCH AND VIRTUALLY NO GRAIN. I PROVIDE A CARBON DATING CERTIFICATE FROM THE NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT WITH EACH CUE THAT HAS KAURI WOOD IN IT. "WHITEBAIT" KAURI IS THE RAREST OF THE KAURI WOODS AND IS PRIZED FOR ITS COGNAC COLOR. THE MAORIES, WHICH ARE THE INDIGINOUS PEOPLE OF NEW ZEALAND, BELIEVE THAT KAURI WOOD HAS MAGICAL QUALITIES. TRY SOME IN YOUR NEXT CUE. WHO KNOWS, A LITTLE "MAGIC" MAY BE WHAT YOU NEED. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS RARE WOOD GO TO www.ancientwood.com/stock/whitebait
THIS PHOTO IS OF SOME OF THE ROSEWOODS I STOCK.
ROSEWOOD IS PROBABLY THE BEST WOOD FOR A CUE AS FAR AS THE "HIT" GOES. THE CAMATILLO ROSEWOOD HAS AN EXCEPTIONAL HIT AND IS VERY RARE--SELDOM SEEN ON THE MARKET. THE BRAZILIAN ROSE WOOD IS PRE "SITES AGREEMENT", WHICH MEANS IT WAS FORESTED MORE THAN 30 YEARS AGO. IT HAS BEEN ILLEGAL TO IMPORT BRAZILIAN ROSE WOOD FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS.
THE SWIRLED BRAZILIAN ROSE WOOD IS THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER BECAUSE OF ITS DENSITY AND BEAUTIFUL FIGURE. BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD, IN CUE MAKING SIZE, IS BECOMING VERY RARE.
I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING IT FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS AND VENTURE THAT WHEN MY COLLECTION IS GONE, THAT WILL BE THE END OF IT. WHEN I MADE GUITARS, IT WAS THE MOST PRIZED OF ALL THE TONE WOODS.
ALL OF THESE WOODS ARE GREAT "HITTERS".
THE ZIRICOTE IS VERY DENSE AND HITS VERY HARD.
HERE ARE 7 MORE GREAT HITTERS. THE MEXICAN COCA BOLA IS PRIZED BY CUE MAKERS FOR ITS HIT AND BEAUTY.
