This photo is of our Unique Products "Cue Monster", which we use mostly to make the final cuts on shafts. Our shafts have a "Pro Taper" that is best duplicated on a CNC, as it is very precise and allows us to take a few thousandths off the shaft on each pass. We move the shaft to the CNC after the shaft has been "rough cut" on the "shaft saw taper machine". This shaft is nearing its final size. Note the reflection on the shaft near the joint.
This gives you some idea of how smoothly we can cut the shaft. These final few passes are made after the joint sleeve and the ferrule have been installed.
